Terms & Conditions

Version v0.5

1st Allegra International Education Music Festival Competition Registration Terms

Effective 1 November 2026

1 Organiser and scope

These terms apply to the 1st Allegra International Education Music Festival Competition organised by ALLEGRA INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION LIMITED (雅睿國際教育, the Organiser). Contact: allegraintledu@gmail.com. Before submitting, read these terms, the privacy statement and applicable parent or guardian consent documents, and retain copies.

2 Eligibility and categories

This edition accepts individual solo instrumental or vocal performances and group performances. An individual entry has one contestant; a group entry has 2–10 contestants and may include members of different ages. Each entry submits one piece performed together. Categories cover piano, Western strings, Western wind, Western percussion, other instruments and vocal, Chinese wind, Chinese plucked strings, Chinese bowed strings and Chinese percussion. Accepted instruments are those available in the edition’s form.

Individual divisions follow birth year, with fees charged per entry. The Group division is age-independent, and its fee is charged per group, not per person. Fees are shown below. A contestant cannot enter the same category and division twice. Entries in different categories must each meet eligibility requirements and be paid separately. A person who has not yet been born cannot be entered.

Division 組別 — Birth year / Group size 出生年份/人數 — Fee 報名費 HKD

3 Schedule and confirmation

All times are Hong Kong time. Registration opens on 1 December 2026 at 00:01 and closes on 22 January 2027 at 23:59. Proposed adjudication runs from 1 to 14 February 2027; the results announcement date will be announced separately. The competition ends in March 2027.

Saving a draft, declaring a payment or receiving an automated receipt does not confirm acceptance or receipt of funds. An entry must be formally submitted, include the required declarations, pass payment reconciliation and receive confirmation. Complete the required steps before closing; if a separate payment deadline applies, it is the deadline shown before submission.

4 Information and representatives

Information must be accurate and the contestant, birth year, category, piece and video must match. A parent or guardian must handle applicable consent for a contestant under 18. Teachers, schools and other representatives must first obtain appropriate authority, provide the documents to the contestant and relevant guardian, and must not falsely claim guardian status. This edition does not require submission or acceptance of a separate delegation document; this does not replace consent from the contestant or applicable guardian.

Before submission, use the available website functions to amend details. After submission, contact the Organiser with the registration number and reason. Changes of piece, division or performance after closing are not guaranteed. Statutory personal-data access and correction rights are not limited by registration deadlines.

5 Videos and access

Submit one piece from a single continuous performance. Do not combine takes, alter the performed audio or substitute another person’s performance. The performer and instrument or singing activity must be identifiable, with picture and sound sufficient for assessment. Declare the actual performance duration. A separate public version prepared by the Organiser under valid promotional authorisation must exclude identity-document segments. This does not alter the original submitted for adjudication or exempt entrants from continuous-recording and no-splicing requirements.

Host the video on a platform accepted by the form and provide a usable link and viewing permissions. Test access yourself and maintain access until adjudication and related enquiries are complete. A backup link should show the same recording. Successful link storage does not mean playback, content or eligibility has been checked.

The contestant must show an identity card or passport at the beginning of the entry video to verify identity and eligibility. Only the name, date of birth and photograph need to be clearly visible; document numbers and other unnecessary information may be masked. Contestants without either document must contact the Organiser first to confirm verification arrangements. Submission and verification must use the restricted method specified by the Organiser. Originals containing identity documents are for necessary verification and restricted handling only. Identity-document segments must not be published or used for promotion. This restriction does not prevent the Organiser from using performance footage under valid authorisation after removing those segments. Public versions must not contain identifiable document images or links to originals containing them. “Unlisted” or “Anyone with the link” does not restrict viewing to authorised persons alone.

6 Payment and evidence

Pay by FPS or bank transfer using the details on the official invoice or payment instructions. Do not transfer solely on the basis of unofficial messages. Supply the correct registration or invoice number, amount, date and references needed for reconciliation. Payment evidence should contain only what is needed; mask unrelated balances, transactions and complete account details.

A declared payment is not a confirmed receipt. Partial receipts do not automatically settle the balance. The Organiser will notify you if more information or payment is required. An unconfirmed screen is not a reason to pay again or resend a review operation: contact the Organiser to check the original transaction first.

7 Technical issues and noncompliance

If saving or submission is unconfirmed, reload the original entry and follow its instructions; do not create a duplicate draft. Where reasonably practicable, the Organiser will notify applicants of inaccessible videos, inconsistent information or payment issues and specify a correction deadline.

Material false information, unauthorised representation, impersonation or verified breaches of performance rules may lead to rejection or disqualification. The Organiser should explain the reason and allow a response. Refunds follow section 8 and applicable law. Platform failures will be handled reasonably in light of their actual impact, without placing every technical risk on applicants.

8 Withdrawal refunds and changes

Entry fees received are non-refundable except for duplicate or excess payments. This policy applies to personal withdrawal or changed participation plans, but does not exclude refund or other rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

If the competition is cancelled or materially changed, the Organiser will notify affected applicants and explain the arrangements. The non-refund policy does not exempt the Organiser from liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Verified duplicate or excess amounts will be returned. Provide the registration number, payment date and reconciliation information; do not email complete identity documents or banking login details. The Organiser will verify the payer and refund method and communicate the outcome and expected processing time.

9 Assessment results and enquiries

The entry fee includes a certificate and postage. Necessary delivery details will be collected at the mailing stage, with production and delivery providers checked. Delivery destinations, dispatch and replacement arrangements will be published before formal registration. A group promotion award is offered. Its eligibility and calculation rules will be announced separately. Entering does not guarantee an award. Assessment criteria are set out below.

Marking criterion — Description — Weight

Proficiency — completeness, accuracy and fluency of the performance — 10%

Technique — difficulty of repertoire, intonation and sense of rhythm — 30%

Musicality — stylistic interpretation and emotional expression — 40%

Stage Presence & Communication — bearing, charisma and musical communication with the audience — 20%

Assessment involves professional judgment. For administrative, identity, calculation or procedural errors, contact the Organiser with the registration number and specific reasons. The Organiser will investigate and respond; disagreement with professional judgment does not guarantee reassessment. Winners’ names, categories, age divisions and awards may be published as described in the privacy statement.

10 Rights and promotion

Contestants and original rights holders retain rights in their works and recordings. Submitters must be entitled to submit the performance and recording and arrange any necessary permission for repertoire, accompaniment or third-party materials. They grant the Organiser and necessary service personnel a non-exclusive licence to use submitted information and videos, for the necessary period, to administer entries, conduct restricted adjudication and handle related enquiries.

Subject to the valid consent described below, we use contestants’ performance videos, photographs, voices and names on the competition’s official website, official social media and competition publicity materials to present and promote this competition. Registration will separately and clearly display this purpose and an “I do not agree to promotional use” option. Refusal does not affect entry, adjudication or award eligibility. A person who does not select refusal must actively confirm “I have no objection and agree to the promotional use described above” after reading the scope before a consent record is created. Saving a draft, silence or an unauthorised representative’s action is not consent. A parent or guardian handles applicable consent for a contestant under 18. Publicity must exclude the opening identity-card or passport segment. Consent for future use may be withdrawn by email. We will stop new relevant uses and address published material within our control where reasonably practicable, but cannot guarantee removal of third-party copies.

11 Privacy notices and changes

Personal data is handled under the accompanying privacy statement. Registration, payment and schedule notices are service communications, not consent to direct marketing. Terms will carry a version and effective date. Material changes will be separately notified; undisclosed new terms will not retrospectively remove accepted applicants’ rights.

12 Law and languages

Hong Kong law governs these terms. Disputes may first be raised with the Organiser by email. Nothing excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The Chinese and English texts are intended to have the same meaning. Any discrepancy will be clarified and both texts aligned, without using translation differences to increase an applicant’s obligations.
