Courses and the music profession

Q1. Do participants need to have a strong musical background to join?

A1. We welcome music lovers of all levels! The program is designed to accommodate both beginners and advanced students. Masterclasses will be tailored according to each participant’s current musical level and instrument proficiency (students are required to submit a résumé and performance video before departure). Even beginners can gain valuable inspiration through choir sessions, music theory workshops, and guided concert appreciation activities.

Q2. What are the qualifications of the teaching staff? Are the masterclass certificates internationally recognized?

A2. Our program features professors, orchestra principals, and experienced performers from leading Czech music institutions such as the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU/HAMU) and Prague Conservatory.
Upon successful completion of all masterclasses, students will receive a joint certificate issued by the local hosting institution and our educational organization. This certification can support future academic applications, music portfolios, and auditions for local or overseas music programs.

Q3. Do students need to bring their own instruments? What instruments and practice facilities are available locally?

A3.

Large instruments: Pianos, cellos, double basses, percussion instruments, etc., will be arranged through local music academies, including access to practice rooms and rehearsal spaces.
Portable instruments: Violins, flutes, clarinets, and other orchestral instruments should be brought by the students themselves. We will assist with instrument check-in and airline transportation arrangements if needed.

Itinerary, Accommodation & Student Care

Q4. How does the program balance music learning and sightseeing?

A4. Our itinerary follows the philosophy of “music-centered, culture-enhanced.”
Typically, mornings are dedicated to masterclasses, private coaching, or ensemble rehearsals. Afternoons include visits to museums related to great composers such as Mozart, Dvořák, and Smetana, as well as famous landmarks including Prague Castle and Charles Bridge.
In the evenings, students may attend world-class performances at venues such as Smetana Hall or the Prague National Theatre.

Q5. How does the organization ensure the safety and discipline of students, especially younger participants?

A5. We maintain a high staff-to-student ratio (usually between 1:4 and 1:8). Our accompanying staff include experienced music instructors, certified first-aid personnel, and tour leaders.

Safety measures include:

- Daily attendance checks
- Strict nighttime curfew policies
- Students are not permitted to leave the group without approval

Real-time communication:
We create a dedicated WhatsApp/WeChat parent group where daily updates and photos are shared, allowing parents to stay informed about their children’s activities and well-being.

Q6. What are the accommodation and meal arrangements? Can special dietary needs be accommodated?

A6.
Accommodation: Carefully selected 3–4 star hotels located in safe neighbourhoods with 24-hour security.

Meals: A combination of local Czech cuisine and Asian/Chinese meals will be arranged.
Students with food allergies or special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, religious dietary restrictions, no beef/pork, etc.) can inform us during registration, and we will coordinate special arrangements with restaurants throughout the trip.
